As the owner of Greenway Residential Cleaning, I'm always on the lookout for effective, eco-friendly cleaning solutions that safeguard our clients' homes - we like to save money too! A few weeks back, while cleaning a home with several long haired cats, I pulled out my trusty tape roller to clean off the couch only to hear the owner say "Hey Ken, try this instead!" and she handed me a stone.  Now I couldn't see the look on my face but I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant one. Why would someone rub a stone on their beautiful white couch to remove cat hair? Well, I went ahead with it and it worked like magic!  I bought 3 the next day. The pumice stone is incredibly versatile and if you haven't used one to clean your grill, stove grates, toilet or couch (not the same one of course!) I would highly suggest it!

What is a Pumice Stone?

Pumice stone, formed from volcanic lava that has cooled and hardened while trapping gaseous bubbles, is a lightweight, abrasive stone perfect for scrubbing away hard-to-clean messes without the use of harsh chemicals. Its natural abrasive qualities make it a powerful ally against grime, yet it's gentle enough to use on a variety of surfaces without leaving scratches.

Cleaning Stainless Steel Stoves

Stainless steel stoves are beautiful and functional, but they are also prone to stubborn grease and burn marks. Harsh chemical cleaners often leave streaks or fail to remove buildup effectively. A dampened pumice stone, on the other hand, can gently scrub away these blemishes, restoring the pristine shine of stainless steel without the streaks or chemical residue. Care needs to be taken and sometimes a dry stone can scratch the surface, but with care it works like a charm!

Refreshing Your Grill Grates

As barbecue season picks up, so does the grime on your grill grates. Instead of using a wire brush, which can leave behind dangerous bristles, or toxic cleaners, try a pumice stone. When used on warm (not hot) grates, a pumice stone will scrape off charred food bits and even grease, making your grill safe and ready for your next barbecue. It works on indoor grates as well!

Sparkling Porcelain Fixtures

Porcelain toilets and sinks are prone to unsightly hard water stains and mineral deposits. Chemical cleaners can be harsh and sometimes even damage the glossy finish. A wet pumice stone provides a gentle, yet effective way to remove these stains. By softly scrubbing with a wet pumice stone, you can lift away stains and buildup, leaving your porcelain fixtures sparkling clean and scratch-free.

The Environmental Edge

At Greenway Residential Cleaning, our mission is to reduce the use of dangerous chemicals we use in your home while providing exceptional home cleaning services. Pumice stones align perfectly with this philosophy. They are a natural product with no added chemicals, making them an environmentally sound choice compared to the often harmful chemical cleaners that can contaminate water sources and degrade soil quality and just all around aren't good for the environment or you.

Embracing a Natural Clean

Incorporating pumice stones into our cleaning practices has not only improved the quality of our cleaning but has also been a step forward in our commitment to eco-friendly solutions. It’s a simple change that has profound impacts, both in the cleanliness of our clients' homes and the health of our environment.

We hope this insight into the versatile uses of pumice stones inspires you to consider more natural cleaning methods. If you want more helpful tips checkout this post that talks more about all of the supplies we use or this one that talks about the superpower that is Soft Scrub.

Welcome to the Greenway Residential Cleaning blog! Today, we’re thrilled to share with you one of our secret weapons in the fight against grime and grease: Soft Scrub (Not Sponsored!). While at a clients home last week she commented that one of our top cleaners was able to get a stain out of her tub that she'd been trying to remove for over 10 years! Her secret: Soft Scrub. Our customers often ask us how we manage to get a mirror finish on every surface, from kitchen stoves to stainless steel refrigerators to bathtubs and even vent hoods. The answer lies in this versatile cleaner.

The Power of Soft Scrub

Soft Scrub is not just another cleaning product; it’s a mandatory part of our cleaning arsenal. It's gentle yet effective and perfect for tackling tough stains and buildup without the risk of scratching delicate surfaces. Whether it's a splattered stove or a fingerprint-covered refrigerator, Soft Scrub handles it all.

Our Approach to a Cleaner Home

  1. Cleaning Stovetops

One of the most challenging areas to clean in any home is the kitchen stove. It faces daily exposure to boiling pots, spattering oils, and all manner of food residues. Over time, this can lead to a buildup that seems almost impossible to remove. That’s where Soft Scrub comes in.

In one of our recent cleaning sessions, we tackled a particularly stubborn stove. The before-and-after pictures speak volumes about the effectiveness of Soft Scrub. We applied a small amount directly to the stovetop, using a non-abrasive sponge (attached to a cordless drill) to work the cream into the surface. The result? All the baked-on grime was removed, leaving behind a pristine, glossy finish that looked almost new.

  1. Vent Hoods

We do test cleans at my home prior to taking new cleaning strategies out to our customers. When our cleaning team pulled out Soft Scrub to use on the Vent Hood I laughed out loud! Just use dawn or an all-purpose cleaner, I said.  They showed me how quickly Soft Scrub can not only clean all of that hamburger grease off of that huge stainless steel vent hood but it also didn't leave streaks like other chemicals do. The transformation was not just visually pleasing but also has me now standing on a ladder using the same method.

  1. Stainless Steel Refrigerators

Stainless steel appliances are a popular choice for modern kitchens, thanks to their sleek look. However, they can easily become smeared with fingerprints and smudges. Soft Scrub is safe to use on stainless steel, allowing us to restore that spotless, mirror-like finish that our clients love. As with the stove and vent hood, we apply Soft Scrub with a soft microfiber towel, ensuring that we remove all marks without harming the appliance’s surface. We had one client mention how it removed water stains she had been trying to get rid of with stainless steel cleaners, none of which did the job.

Our Commitment to Safe Cleaning Practices

At Greenway Residential Cleaning, we’re not just focused on creating perfectly clean homes; we’re also committed to the safety and health of our clients and their environments. That’s why we use products like Soft Scrub that are effective yet gentle. We believe that a clean home shouldn’t come at the expense of your surfaces or your health.

Before and After: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

We've included a few pictures below that showcase our work. You'll see a stove before and after our cleaning, the front of a vent hood, and the front of a stainless steel refrigerator. Each image highlights the effectiveness of Soft Scrub in different cleaning contexts. If you'd like to see more visit our Google My Business Page here.

Keeping your home clean and tidy can be a daunting task, especially with the busy schedules we keep in the Triangle. However, maintaining a spotless living space is not only about aesthetics; it's also crucial for your health and well-being (bring on the pollen). As professionals in the cleaning industry, we've mastered the art of efficient and effective cleaning. Today, I'm excited to share top cleaning tips and tricks that you can use to maintain your home between professional cleanings. These cleaning tips will help you clean smarter, not harder, ensuring your home stays pristine with minimal effort.

  1. Start with a Plan

Professional cleaners always begin with a strategy, not much of a cleaning tip, but a necessity. Before diving into cleaning, assess each room and determine what needs the most attention. Create a checklist of tasks for each area of your home. This approach ensures you stay organized and focused, preventing the feeling of being overwhelmed.

  1. Tackle Clutter First

One of the biggest obstacles to getting started is clutter. Before you start dusting or vacuuming, declutter each room. Put away items that are out of place, and consider implementing storage solutions for frequently cluttered areas. Deploy your kids, this always works for us.  Have them clear their rooms and other rooms throughout the house. Not only will your home look cleaner but it makes the cleaning process faster and more efficient.

  1. Master the Art of Speed Cleaning

Speed cleaning doesn't mean cutting corners—it's about cleaning effectively in less time. Focus on tasks that make the biggest visual impact. For example, wiping down surfaces, sweeping floors, and fluffing pillows can quickly refresh a room. Use a timer to limit how long you spend on each task to maintain momentum and avoid getting bogged down in details. Remember you're not deep cleaning your home between visits, this is just a maintenance cleaning.

  1. The Magic of Microfiber Cloths

Professional cleaners swear by microfiber cloths. These cloths are highly effective at trapping dust, dirt, and germs without the need for excessive cleaning products. They're also reusable, making them an eco-friendly option. Use different colored cloths for various areas of the house to prevent cross-contamination.

  1. High-to-Low Cleaning

Everyone knows the top-to-bottom, left-to-right method of house cleaning but we have to mention it here. Dust and dirt fall downward, so always clean from the top of a room to the bottom. Start with ceiling fans and light fixtures, then move to furniture and finally the floors. This method ensures that you won't have to re-clean surfaces due to falling dust or remove bedding you've just covered with dust from your ceiling fan.

  1. Don't Forget the Details

One of the most overlooked cleaning tips is attention to detail.  This what separates a good cleaning job from a great one. Pay attention to often-overlooked areas such as baseboards, door frames, light switches, and cabinet fronts. A quick wipe-down of these areas can significantly elevate the overall cleanliness of your home.

  1. Natural Cleaning Solutions

Most often, you don't need harsh chemicals to achieve a deep clean. Many professional cleaners use natural ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice for a variety of tasks. These ingredients are not only effective at cleaning and deodorizing but are also safer for your family and the environment. If you want one of our best cleaning tips, don't mess around mixing ingredients. The EPAs Safer choice products, the ones we use, are cost effective and safe for pets and children.

  1. Bathroom and Kitchen: The Deep Clean Duo

The bathroom and kitchen require special attention due to their frequent use and potential for germ buildup. For bathrooms, focus on disinfecting high-touch areas such as faucets, toilet handles, and door knobs. In the kitchen, pay extra attention to appliance handles, countertops, and cutting boards. Regular deep cleaning of these areas can prevent the spread of germs and keep your home healthier.

  1. Floor Care

Keeping floors clean in a busy home, while difficult, can transform the look and feel of your home. One of the best cleaning tips we can give is to vacuum or sweep regularly to remove dirt and debris. Always do this before wet mopping or dusting, even in the bathrooms, otherwise you will end up with clumps of fuzz that stick in the cracks making it look worse than before you began. When mopping, start from the farthest corner of the room and move backward towards the entrance to avoid stepping on freshly cleaned floors. When using a mop, twist the mop handle so the mop makes a figure 8 on the floor.  This avoids any dirt, hair or fibers to be left on the floor.

  1. Maintain Cleaning Tools

Well-maintained cleaning tools are more effective and can save you time and effort regardless of which cleaning tips you decide to implement. Regularly wash and dry microfiber cloths, empty vacuum bags, wash and sanitize canisters, and replace mop heads as needed. Clean tools ensure a cleaner home.

Final thoughts

Maintaining a clean home is a continuous effort, but it doesn't have to be a chore. By incorporating these cleaning tips into your routine, you can significantly reduce the time and effort required to keep your living space in top condition.

Adopting a proactive approach to cleaning can also focus your professional cleaners on the tougher tasks rather than picking up clothes or trash, ensuring you get a deeper cleaning of your home. These "secrets" from the cleaning pros are really common knowledge but often we need to be reminded of the basics to help us reach the desired outcome -  a consistently clean home, providing a healthy living environment, and overall better quality of life for our families.

Keep in mind that professional cleaning services offer deep cleaning that goes beyond the surface level. While these cleaning tips will help maintain your home's cleanliness, scheduling regular professional cleanings ensures a thorough clean that removes the brunt of the more difficult tasks. When I considered starting Greenway Residential Cleaning, I did what most of us do. I went online and watched every YouTube video I could to better understand what a professional cleaning crew uses in their bag. I searched for "The Best Cleaning Supplies" on Google and other platforms. Searching for what chemicals really work and which ones are more about the brand. So I went to these YouTube Amazon storefronts and bought what they said made sense - That was my first mistake. What I've come to realize is that while most people online have good intentions, some are just there to collect a bit of cash based on affiliate links. So don't get caught in the trap of buying that magical backpack vacuum just yet - maybe try something a little more affordable that works just as well.  In this blog, I wanted to let you in on a little secret…cleaning supplies of all types work. Some are better than others but there is no single one that does it all and while YouTubers have a lot of great cleaning hacks, most don’t work or aren't practical.

Here are a few cleaning supplies we like that aren't expensive and really work:

  1. Microfiber Cloths: Highly rated for their ability to attract and hold dust, dirt, and grime without the need for chemical cleaners. They are considered effective for a wide range of surfaces.
    • The problem
      • Some of these leave behind tiny fibers that will drive you insane when you clean a mirror or wipe a window.
      • Some are too small! Make sure you get ones that are larger than 4 x your hand. You will want to fold these over as you clean or you will end up with hundreds of tiny microfiber cloths in your bag.
      • Some are see-through and really cheap! If you can see through the cloth odds are they won't hold up in the wash and guess what, they will leave tiny fibers all over the place that will make your mirror or glass look worse than when you started.
    • Why use microfiber towels:
      • Paper towels get dirty fast and the waste is substantial. In some instances like bathrooms we will use paper towels on very dirty surfaces because we really don’t like carrying around dirty bathroom towels. Don't forget to choose multiple colors so you don't mix kitchen, bathroom and common area towels.
  2. Vacuum Cleaner (Backpack, Upright, Canister, Stick, and Robotic): Vacuum cleaners are essential for cleaning floors, carpets, and upholstery. Models with HEPA filters and strong suction are often rated highly for their effectiveness in removing dust and allergens.
    • The problem:
      • You could go with a backpack vacuum but seriously are you planning to clean a commercial building? If you are, then sure a $1000 backpack vacuum may be for you, but if you aren't, a basic one will do just fine.
      • There are handheld stick vacuums out there and they work well specifically for stairs, but I will let you know vacs with batteries don’t last too long when you're vacuuming carpet and there's nothing worse than finishing the first floor only to have to plug in your vac and wait until tomorrow to clean the second.
      • For the most part, if you are looking for something that can vacuum corners or baseboards, a stick vacuum performs well, but a canister vacuum is a bit better. You can disconnect the hose and instead of holding the bulk of the vacuum in your hand, you just hold the hose attachment while the canister follows you around the room like an obedient puppy.
      • Which brand of vacuum is the best? All of them. Most vacuums work well and for all intents and purposes, if you don't need to know how many dust particles you picked up or need a song every time you change a selection, the main brands will work for you. Don't get "sucked" into purchasing something with 8,000 likes on Amazon: It's probably a scam.
    • Why use a simple vacuums:
      • We use a canister vac for around the home, baseboards and corners, and for the stairs, a stick vac  seems to do a good job. No need for fancy options, just get something basic that works.
  3. Spray Bottles not just for Homemade Cleaners: One of the most popular cleaning supplies for those who prefer DIY cleaning solutions. Using high-quality, adjustable spray bottles can enhance the effectiveness of homemade cleaning products.
    • The problem:
      • For the most part these bottles are essential, but there are cheap versions on the market that don’t work after a couple squirts. Make sure you look at them in person. Online scams show pretty pictures,  but what you get may not be what you see.
      • You will be mixing chemicals in these, meaning you have larger bottles of chemicals around your home. This could mean trouble for kids or pets, so having a dedicated space for all of these is essential and goes without saying.
    • Why use reusable spray bottles:
      • I'm not against purchasing quality products or mixing my own, but I've found that DIY solutions tend to slow us down. Mixing the correct quantity at home before multiple jobs becomes a hassle, but reusing the bottles for well-known products saves on plastic waste and the pocket book!  We use products that carry the EPAs safer choice label. Most - if not all - are very effective and don’t require me to turn my kitchen into a science experiment once a week.
  4. Squeegee: Essential for streak-free window cleaning. High-quality squeegees with durable rubber blades are highly rated for effectiveness.
    • The problem:
      • How easy is it to use a squeegee? Have you used one before? For the most part using a squeegee takes a little getting used to. YouTube is your friend with this product. There are so many tutorials on the proper way to use one and most are amazing. Make sure you get one that fits your window, then get a bucket of water and several microfiber towels.
    • Why use a Squeegee:
      • Wiping down dirty windows with multiple paper towels causes waste, not to mention those paper towels leave streaks and tiny fibers on windows.  Squeegees, when used correctly, not only clean all the dirt off, they are reusable and a bucket of warm water with a little Dawn is all you need - plus 3-4 good microfiber towels for an entire home.
  5. Extendable Duster: Rated well for their ability to reach awkward and high spaces such as ceiling fans and the tops of bookshelves, they make dusting more efficient.
    • The problem:
      • Dusters are like snowflakes: - There are billions of them and new ones come out every year. Amazon ratings will fool you on these - be careful.
      • Many of these either don't extend high enough or they end up rotating as you dust because they won't lock in.
      • The head must swivel so you can clean ceiling fans and the top of doors and windows, but several will swivel then break or bend back easily with just a bit of pressure.
      • While we do like the swiffer, throwing 50 swiffer dusters away after cleaning your home just doesn't feel environmentally friendly so we prefer microfiber; after all you can wash them and they will last much longer.
    • Why use microfiber dusters:
      • Look, I don’t know how tall you are, but I'm not starting on any basketball team. If you don’t have a good extended duster, you cannot hit the most dust covered spots in the house (Ceiling fans, top of doors, top of pictures/paintings, HVAC vents, corners where cobwebs reside…) This is on of the most important cleaning supplies you can have.
  6. Scrub Brushes (Various Stiffness): Different types of scrub brushes are highly rated for specific tasks, such as grout cleaning, dish scrubbing, or surface cleaning, depending on the stiffness of the bristles.
    • The problem:
      • Welcome to America where choice is your number one concern! There are about 80,000 brush kits out there, so what do you need to clean your home? There is a brush that looks like a comb with long bristles, one that is used to clean your stove with shorter bristles, and then there's the one for the shower with huge bristles that attach to your hand. Do you need all of these? Oh the paradox of choice!
      • Most of the time a tooth brush is perfect. Let's face it, if you need a rotating swivel headed electric grout brush, I think you have a problem that doesn't need to be solved. If you need to get in there and scrub away, a hard bristle toothbrush is the right size. But you say, NO!, what about those pesky corners my friend? 4 out of 5 dentists can't be wrong, make little circles like brushing your teeth and all will be well.
    • Why use a toothbrush:
      • Water stains, lime scale, gunk around sink drains, grout: You name it, this is another required implement. Using a toothbrush is just simpler and more cost effective. If you need something a bit larger, a stiff bristle brush will work as well.
  7. Melamine Sponges aka “Magic Eraser”: Popular for their ability to remove marks from walls, baseboards, and other surfaces without harsh chemicals, users rate them highly for these specific tasks.
    • The problem:
      • If you have kids, then you have a problem melamine sponges will solve.  Save your time and your hair and just buy them.
      • You can find them branded or otherwise at several stores. These are truly magical and work on railing, walls, floors, stickers in tubs on office chairs, you name it.
    • Why use melamine sponges:
      • Are you a parent? Do you just like to draw on your own walls? Then, this is for you! I hate to say it, but there is nothing else that I've found to quickly take paint off of floors, crayon off of walls, stains off of handrails, you name it, this is a game changer!
  8. Bucket with Wringer or a Mop System (Spin Mop, Spray Mop): For mopping, a good-quality bucket with a wringer is highly rated for its convenience and effectiveness in managing mop moisture.
    • The problem:
      • Do you like mopping floors and seeing little hairs after you're done, then use a mop!
      • If you don’t have the proper technique, it is easy to make your floor look worse with a mop. Also, there are several to choose from. Do you use the typical spinning mop or the old school one that wrings out in hopes that all the dirt stays in the liquid in the bucket?
      • What about rectangular floor mops that seem to do well: You buy microfiber mop heads and get to it! The issue is you can't use those in close quarters, so a small mop works best in those situations.
    • Why use a mop and bucket:
      • We use a variety of mops: For bathrooms we use a spin mop with a reservoir so we don’t reuse dirty water. On hardwoods, the rectangular mop with replaceable microfiber pads is the best. The key is to focus on getting one that is not plastic or it will easily ruin your day by breaking mid house cleaning.
  9. Broom and Dustpan Set: A basic but essential tool, with angled brooms and dustpans with rubber edges being rated as more effective for collecting dust and debris.
    • The problem:
      • I've heard YouTube cleaners mention they won't use a broom on the job, but really? Do you really vacuum the bathroom floor before you mop it and then use that same vacuum in other rooms or maybe to vacuum your couch? Do you then take that same vacuum to other people's homes?
    • Why use a broom and dustpan:
      • You can quickly wash a stiff bristle broom and dustpan and sanitize it. That vacuum, regardless how nice, will have to be disassembled before your next job just to fulfill the same task.  For us, it’s a broom and dustpan
  10. Lint Roller: Highly rated for its effectiveness in removing pet hair and lint from clothing, furniture, and other fabrics.
    • The problem:
      • Got a cat or a long haired dog? Have you ever tried to vacuum up cat hair from inside of a couch, or on a bedspread? So you know what I mean.
    • Why use a lint roller:
      • There is no better way to extract pet hair.  There are sticky gloves, combs but at the end of the day the best one we've found is a plain old school roller with double-sided tape.  And yes, I realize you throw a lot of this away but mostly we use it on the furniture after we vacuum so we try to limit the waste.
  11. Pumice Stones: Pumice stones are used in cleaning for several reasons, thanks to their unique natural properties.
    • The problem:
      • Ever try to clean an oven grate without using oven cleaner, good luck! You can scrape all day but unless you plan on working those biceps like Arnold it's not coming off.  What about the inside of that porcelain toilet of yours or the beautiful white porcelain sink? They stain really easily…use a pumice stone.
    • Why use a pumice stone:
      • Not to keep repeating myself but this is a natural stone, it's abrasive and doesn’t require a chemical spray. These stones are eco-friendly, they don’t release fumes into the house and after you're done you're just left with a pile of grit and beautiful shiny clean oven racks.  Hey, if you'll use a pumice stone to remove a callus it's got to be safe for your oven right (maybe not the same one, though)? I don’t see you thinking you should put oven cleaner on your feet.
  12. Scrub brush attachments for power drill: Drill attachments aren’t new but have been a great addition to the cleaning space where brushes, scrubbing pads, polishing and buffing pads help ease the scrubbing process - if you do it right!
    • The problem:
      • The top of gas stoves are difficult to clean. Baked on gunk, stuck on the top of the burners or the grates. This generally takes a strong dose of cleaner, soaking or a stiff wire brush to thoroughly clean.
    • Why use power brush attachments:
      • Working in a cleaning business you don't always have the luxury of soak time. We spray the stove and let it sit until last.  Most of the time that’s enough. In the case of baked on gunk, specifically for gas stoves, it isn’t.  Pumice stones work good on grates but for the metal surfaces on top of the stove they are a NO-NO! These scrubbers are the same as a scrubbing pad but attached to a circular drill so with the simple press of a button - you are done!

Here are a few items we don’t add to our bag:

  1.  Disposable Cleaning Wipes: Convenient for quick cleanups and disinfecting surfaces. Brands that offer effective sanitization and are flushable tend to be rated higher.
    • The problem:
      • How much trash do you like to discard each time you clean your home? For most people they care about things like that and if that's you this is not a great option.
      • These cleaning wipes are very expensive especially considering you just throw them away once they are dirty.
    • Why you shouldn’t use disposable cleaning wipes:
      • The waste is insane.  A simple microfiber towel with spray works fine.
  2. Steam Mop: Praised for their ability to clean and sanitize hard floors using only water, making them environmentally friendly and safe for households with pets and children.
    • The problem:
      • Steam Mops are an additional tool that most people aren't really willing to let sit in their closet. The cost is high and it most often is only used in case of a really dirty floor.
    • Why you shouldn’t use a steam mop:
      • While they work great to remove stuck on dirt or to sanitize your home killing most bacteria, germs and dust mites there are less expensive alternatives that don’t require such a large footprint in your living room closet.

Assembling a cleaning bag with the best cleaning supplies and products is your first step towards cleaning your home as effectively as a professional. The items we've listed are practical, affordable, and will help you tackle your cleaning tasks head-on, without resorting to YouTube hacks. Pulling together these essentials will help you determine the direction you want to go with your cleaning regimen. Are you attempting to pull together all of your natural cleaning chemicals yourself being the eco-warrior you are, or are you looking for something quick and easy right off the shelf.

As always, remember to take some time back from your busy schedule.  Prioritize yourself, your family and your community by taking some time to enjoy the natural wonders that surround us.  Feel free to give us a call, we will get some of that time back for you. (919)229-9227

If your family is like mine, you feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done due to a busy schedule. Between work, school, sports, and maybe squeezing in some fun time, cleaning the house often falls to the bottom of the to-do list. After our second child, we switched from monthly to bi-weekly cleaning services and it made our weekends much better. Keeping mom and dad ready for the next task at hand was key. This was a total game-changer for our family so let's dive into the details of why I think it may work for yours!

The Magic of Professional Cleaners

First off, professional cleaners are exactly that, professional. They kick off a recurring bi-weekly house cleaning with a deep cleaning. Then every two weeks with their special tools and eco-friendly cleaning products, they make every inch of your space shine. They know all the tricks, get rid of tough stains and dust bunnies hiding in hard-to-reach places, and leave your home clean and stress free - at least until the kids get home.

Why Every Two Weeks?

You might wonder, "Why bi-weekly?". Well, it's the perfect rhythm for recurring cleaning services! It's just enough time in between cleanings to keep your house looking neat without feeling like the cleaning professionals are always there. Plus, it stops the mess from getting out of control.

Consider a kitchen stovetop or a shower door, it takes about 2 weeks to get to the point that you know something needs to be done. If you wait a month the burnt in grease and boiled over water will bake into that stovetop and the glass door will have patterns resembling the sun melted crayon art you kids brought home. All of this makes it much harder to deal with. This is why most housekeeping companies don’t offer much of a discount for monthly cleanings. It takes almost as much time as an initial cleaning!

Now, let's dive into the amazing benefits of having a bi-weekly cleaning services:

  1. More Family Free Time: Imagine all the extra hours you get to spend with your family, doing fun stuff instead of worrying about cleaning.
  2. Healthier Home: Regular cleanings mean fewer germs and allergens floating around, which is great news for anyone with allergies or asthma. Cleaner showers and kitchens mean doing everyday things will be much easier than working around the mess.
  3. Stress Relief: Knowing that the cleaning is taken care of lifts a huge weight off your shoulders. Say goodbye to the stress of realizing your weekend is booked with kid functions and the only time to clean is Sunday night.
  4. Saves Money in the Long Run: Professionals keep your home in tip-top shape, saving you money on chemicals and cleaning supplies you wouldn't normally purchase.
  5. Always Guest-Ready: Unexpected visitors? Your house will always be just a few days away from being guest-ready.

 But What About the Cost?

While hiring a cleaning service does cost, think about what your time is worth. If you spend less time cleaning, you have more time to do things that might earn you money or allow you to relax and enjoy life. Plus, you're not buying all those cleaning supplies!

Why Cary, NC Families Love It

Cary is a vibrant community with lots of busy families just like yours. Whether you're hiking at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve or enjoying downtown Cary, there's always something to do besides cleaning. Many families here have discovered that bi-weekly cleaning services give them more time to enjoy these local treasures.
